“What Might Soothe You?” is the first single from Pity Sex’s heavily anticipated new album, White Hot Moon. Infectious guitar riffs played against a steady uptempo bass-and-drum backbone only tease a taste of what the Ann Arbor quartet have brought to the table with their sophomore album. With the help of the band’s long time producer Will Yip, Pity Sex return to the sounds and subjects touched on their breakthrough 2013 debut Feast of Love in a more mature fashion: expertly-crafted melodies, attentive lyricism and alternately lush and fuzzy guitar tones all work to dial-in the signature sound that Pity Sex has crafted to make their form of melancholia undeniably magnetic.
